Origins - Jnana Prabodhini 

Jnana Prabodhini is an organization which works for bringing Swami Vivekanand’s ideas into Practice. It is a multifarious institution working in the fields of Education, Research, Rural Development, Women Power, Youth Organization, National Integration and Health, with a view of Motivation Building and Attitude Formation of every person in all age groups to Change the Face of India for Better. 

The Inspiration, The founder of Jnana Prabodhini, Late Shri V.V. alias Appa Pendse was an Educationist, Social organizer, Patriot and an Active ideologue. In 1962, he envisioned an organization for putting into practice the thoughts of Swami Vivekanand -- his inspiration -- of changing the face of the Nation, through Man-making Education. Traditionally, this effort follows the concept of ‘Dharm-Sansthapana’ i.e. societal resurgence and reconstruction, a cyclic phenomenon propelled by our ancient heroes and saints. Centuries ago, this was advocated by Saint Ramdas and reiterated in the recent past by Maharshi Dayanand, Swami Vivekanand and Yogi Aurobindo.

Leadership Developement Centre

Jnana Prabodhini is an organization who dreamt of transforming our country through Leadership Development. The Leadership Development Centre is especially established for fulfilling this purpose. The Centre which started in 2012 aims at developing leadership skills, qualities and attitude within the youth of 18 to 35 years of age, specifically in administrative, social and organizational sectors. What is really needed to make the dream of prosperous, strong and developed India a reality is efficient, charismatic and socially oriented leadership in various fields. 

The courses provided here are the combination of Jnana Prabodhini’s long experience in the field of leadership development and the successful performance of Jnana Prabodhini Competitive Examination Centre, which has more than a thousand administrative officers at the national and state levels. Not only in the field of administration but the Leadership Development Centre also aims at developing the leadership in social sector too. The team here believes in developing leadership instead of developing leaders.
